Adios Jason!

We spent Saturday evening in Royal Oak and said good bye to Jason as he prepares to move to Texas! It was a fun evening at Cinq--especially at the end of the night as we searched everywhere for the perfect pizza to eat. Had a yummy breakfast on Sunday at the Pancake House with the RO gang.

We'll miss you Jason! Best wishes!

It's That Time of Year!

Usually this time of year gets to be pretty busy--holidays, traveling to see family & friends, etc.--we are going to add one more thing to the month of December--moving out of our condo! Yes, we sold our home. Closing is going to happen in a couple of weeks and the plan is for us to be completely out of here by the 21st of December! We are working on some temporary living arrangements while we search for a new home, so I am feeling a little unsettled but mostly excited. I am just happy we were able to sell--that is hard to do right now!

We had a nice Thanksgiving in DeWitt yesterday. Matthew P. dressed up and surprised us at the front door. We enjoyed a walk in the nice sunshine--hope it will last!

MOVIN' AROUND! MOVIN' OUT?

The baby is moving around like crazy now. In fact, Matt felt him for the first time last night. Very fun. We had our 20 week appointment yesterday. The ultrasound results all came back normal and our due date has not changed. Lots to be thankful for...

Condo news...there is a possibility that we will be moving out next month! We are waiting to hear if the potential buyer is going to go through with it. We should find out today! We'll keep you posted...

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

BACK FROM THE WOODS

Matt had a successful day in the woods on Wednesday (opening day). He came home with two, nice 8-point bucks! He got them within 5 minutes of each other. Now we will be able to eat all winter. ;)

IT'S A BOY!!!!!

What a fun night. I never thought an ultrasound could be so exciting! I didn't want the picture to go away! The lady doing the ultrasound just threw in the "boy" news in the midst of telling us about the hands, feet, etc. I think it took Matt and I a few minutes to process...I asked if she was positive...she said there was no question. WOW! We are both thrilled...Matt had a smile from ear to ear. We were mostly happy though because physically, our little boy looks healthy. YAY! We'll get the full report next week.

Joss and Britta, you were right! The DeWitt crew was due for a boy. :)

BLUE or PINK?

Tomorrow's the day! We are anxiously awaiting the news of a son or daughter. Matt isn't predicting either one--I am thinking boy--maybe because Nikki has made me a true believer of the Chinese Lunar Calendar for Pregnancy. For all you ladies out there with children--check out the link and see if it worked for you! And for you ladies hoping to have kids soon, you can use it to plan for a girl or boy--it's good fun!

Send me your comments with predictions on tomorrow! Would love to hear what you think! :)

Stay tuned...

FRIENDS & FAMILY
Matt had a knee injury playing basketball this past week (sprained MCL), but that didn't stop him from heading up north to hunt. He was away Friday and Saturday--got together with YaYa, Em, Cate, & Megan for dinner on Friday evening--great to be with the girls!
Saturday evening was spent with some more friends--went to a couples wedding shower for Pig & Sara at Taps.

This evening we met my family in Fennville at the Journeyman Cafe for dinner--yumm!

ABOUT HALF WAY THERE!

Can't believe it--we are moving right along here--I am 18 weeks today. It's exciting, but a little scary too. The baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a large sweet potato) and weighs about 7 ounces. Flutter, flutter...

Happy Election Day! Hope you all got out to vote! I never thought I would be happy to have good ol' non-election-type commercials back on TV!

FLUTTER or FLATULENCE?
I borrowed Jocelyn's May '05 title for this post--thought it was appropriate...
It's hard to tell, but I might have felt the first little flutter of baby this weekend. I am not exaclty sure what I am supposed to be feeling. One moment, I am convinced that it is the baby--then the next moment I am pretty sure that it's just gas. :) Hopefully I will be able to tell for sure in the next couple of weeks. Only 9 days away from the ultrasound! Can't wait to share the news!

Went to the Ronald McDonald House Wine Fest on Friday night. Matt sipped on some really good wines--I tried one glass of the unleaded kind. :) Saturday we got up at 4 AM and headed to the hunting land. Matt went out to sit in a tree for a few hours while I stayed in the warm cabin and went back to sleep. After seeing a few deer and a porcupine Matt decided to come down from his stand because the temperature hadn't gotten much above 25 degrees and his feet were freezing. After that I went out with him in the golf cart to spread some apples, beets, and carrots for the deer--maybe next week he'll have more luck.

We drove up to Higgins Lake to the new Klein cottage to rake some leaves. It was chilly, but Matt and I moved quickly and got a lot done. We had dinner out on the way home and crashed after a long day.
