celebrate

William's First Birthday!

we had a wonderful birthday celebration for william today at our house! we invited all four sides of our families to come! i think there were about 34 people here (including us). the house was packed--what fun. william had fun playing with his cousins and visiting with grandparents and aunts and uncles. he even had 7 great grandparents here! amazing.

william is one!

Our littlest man turns one today! The year went by SO fast! I really feel like he was born a week ago.... At this time a year ago (about 2:00pm), I was having contractions, but didn't find out that Will was breech until 4:30 in the afternoon. Not too long after that, he was flipped around and entered the world!

This morning at breakfast, we were talking about how William was turning one today and he was getting so big! Daniel said, "Now that he's big, I can tackle him!" Uh oh...

We'll be celebrating Will's birthday with family on Saturday!

a bit out of touch

holy smokes! it's been a while. i thought you might be getting sick of looking at the 4th of july post....can't believe that two months have gone by since the last one. we have had a very busy summer! school officially started today for me...back to the grind. it seems as though the boys have already caught a little virus of some sort (i feel like this happens at the beginning of each school year). in fact, matt had to stay home this morning with daniel because he woke up at midnight with a fever. hmmm.

daniel is officially a two-year old. he decided on friday, that he wanted to help me out by washing my cell phone. silly me---i thought he was doing the right thing and brushing his teeth, but instead he was holding my phone under the running water for about 2 minutes straight. i am waiting for my new phone to be delivered today!

our little red-headed william is going to turn one in a couple of weeks! where did the year go? he is crawling all over the place (even up the stairs)...no first steps yet, but he did stand up unsupported on his own yesterday. he isn't really talking (with words) yet...other than the usual ma ma, da da, na na, ba ba, etc. although in the last week or two i think he might be saying "hi," and "mo" (more) and the most recent one is really cute....he tries to say daniel! it comes out "da." he's trying. :)

i have thousands of pictures to share from our summer ventures, but you'll just have to wait to see those. i'll surprise you with those one of these days. thanks for being patient!
