Christmas Cheer!

We have officially moved in with Matthew & Kelly--they have graciously taken us in... Moving just before Christmas made December rather crazy this year, but we had lots of fun running around and seeing friends and family.

Christmas Eve was spent with the Klein side of the family in Lake Orion then with the Smith family in West Bloomfield. We woke up on Christmas morning to celebrate with the Klein family in DeWitt. Then drove to Holland to hang out with the Tanis' and the Sikkel side in the evening. Thank you so much to everyone for a fun time and for your generous gifts. Nice to see everyone!

Goodbye Lyn Haven Drive!

Thought I would write once more from our condo. I am finishing up the last of the move today. There isn't much left here--the keys are handed over at 4:00. It's very exciting to have sold it, but a little sad at the same time. We really enjoyed living here--but can't wait to have a new house soon!

Had my 24 week check up this morning--everything seems to be good! The baby is just over a pound and about 11 or 12 inches in length!

Here are the pictures from the past week or two that I said I would post...enjoy!

Whirlwind of a Week!

Whew--we are tired! What a busy week...

Last Sunday we celebrated Grandpa Klein's 80th birthday--it was a surprise to him--I think he enjoyed the party and the fact that so many family members were able to join him for the festivities. During the week, we hustled to pack up our condo before the big moving day (Sat.)--I decided to take Friday off from school (my mom played hooky too so she could help) to play a little catch-up and make some final preparations for the evening. Brandie and I planned a couples baby shower for Matthew & Kelly--we had a nice evening filled with lots of friends, food, gifts, & games. Then came a long day of house-hunting, and moving. Saturday was pretty exhausting, but we accomplished a lot in a short amount of time--thanks to all the help from or families! We filled up a rather large storage unit with all of our belongings--just a few more items left to move! We need to be out of here by Thursday at 5:00 when we hand over the keys to the new owner. I hope Matthew & Kelly are ready for their roomies!

I'll post lots of pictures soon... :)

It's official!

This past Thursday we signed the papers to make selling the condo official. This means that the countdown is on for moving out! We have until the 21st--not quite two weeks away! We were able to meet the new owner--a very nice 70 year old gentleman who is really excited about owning a condo.

Matt and I took four carloads of "stuff" over to the storage unit today, but it only seemed to make a small dent. We seem to have accumulated a lot of things in the past four years of living here together. Speaking of four years, we also celebrated our 4th anniversary on the day of the closing! We went out for a special steak dinner that night in honor of these major events.

We did a little house hunting this morning--went through a number of homes. We really liked three of them, all for different reasons. We also disliked aspects all three too. We've come to find out that this will be a bit of a process. The right one for us is out there somewhere! Wish I knew where...

Showered By Family

Kelly and I had our first (double) baby shower today. We traveled to the east side of the state to Aunt Marlene's house to spend some time with the Klein and Smith families. There were lots of lovely women, smiles, & fun. We are very grateful for the generosity of everyone there! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
