Happy New Year!

A lot has happened here since Christmas! We finally got the house in order, just in time for our visitors on Thursday. Mark, Allison, & Tessa stopped by (for not long enough) all the way from California! We haven't seen them in a long time and we had not met Tessa yet--it was great to see them! Em & Mark, Lisa & Dan, Anne & Drew, Chris & YaYa, Katie & Dave, and Matt & I went out for dinner to The Green Well (delicious!), then came back to our house for dessert and drinks.

By the weekend, Daniel was feeling much much better, but Matt & I got sick. We got an annoying virus, so there wasn't much we could do for our symptoms except sleep, sleep, sleep. Thankfully, Daniel took some great, 2-hour naps and slept in until 8:30 all weekend. We were able to catch up a bit...

Last night we ventured out to a friend's house for a small, New Year's gathering. It was very low-key---just what we needed. Daniel did great--he slept upstairs the whole time and didn't wake up during the transfer back to his crib at 1:00 AM. Good boy!

We woke up today to a winter wonderland. Beautiful. Daniel and I made it to Holland for a family gathering this afternoon. Matt stayed in town to watch football with some friends. Happy New Year to you all! Go blue!
