It's coming to an end...

I know that the summer weather seems to go well into September, but when the end of August arrives, teachers feel like summer has ended. Yup, it all begins this week--meetings and setting up our classrooms. Luckily I won't be hanging around school for too long before I get another three months off with our wee one! For now, we are just trying to eat as many popsicles as possible and enjoy our unscheduled days.Daniel starts his new daycare next week too. I hope he does okay. He has been pretty attached to me since we have spent every day together for the last 3 months! I am also concerned that he has not really transitioned out of his morning nap yet---I have a feeling that he will be pretty tired by the time I pick him up at noon. We'll see how it goes! He has been sleeping a lot this past week--he came down with a cold a couple of weeks ago, and that turned into an ear infection with a high fever. He is on antibiotics now an seems to be on the mend. Poor little man.

Last weekend, we spent some time in DeWitt. Jay Leitz organized the 2nd annual Old School Shootout b-ball tourney. It was fun to catch up with that group of friends. It's been a while! Money was raised for the Louis A. Leitz Memorial Fund.
