We had a fun weekend with Daniel. He went to his first baseball game on Saturday. We watched Hope play at Calvin. Unfortunately Hope lost both games. Daniel thought it was pretty cool though. He said ball ("ba") about 50 times while we were there. Matt was very proud. :)
We all slept in until about 7:30 today. Ahhh. Daniel woke up happy about his big day. We cooked a big breakfast...even though Daniel didn't eat much of it. Then he played for a little while before taking a 2 1/2 hour morning nap! After lunch, we took Daniel to the Meijer Gardens to see the butterflies. It was packed with people today, but we made our way through and really liked it! Daniel thought the butterflies were great! He pointed at them and his eyes were pretty wide the whole time. My mom stayed over last night---Daniel was happy to have her here to help celebrate his day! My dad and Scott called from Egypt today to wish Daniel a happy birthday. They are keeping very busy with work. They'll probably need a vacation when they get home!
We go into the doctor tomorrow for Daniel's 1-year appointment. I'll report then with his stats!
