We had a fun weekend! Daniel and I celebrated our birthdays--his is not until the 30th but this was the best weekend for our families to get together. I had my last birthday in the 20's on Sunday--next year is the biggie! Daniel enjoyed his party--he was in a great mood all day! However, we may have waited a little too long before giving him his cake. He was ready for bed by then. He hung in there, but he wasn't very interested in having dessert. He sported his #1 jersey for the occasion.
On Sunday night we decided it was time for Daniel's first haircut. Matt got out the clippers and took care of it. No more mullet! There's not a big difference, but we think it looks a lot better! I saved a little lock for the baby book. :)
Most of you have heard, but for those who haven't..............we're having another baby! It was a bit of a surprise, but we are very excited. The kids will be about 18 months apart. We'll have our hands full, but we figure we are still sort of in baby mode, so we should know just what to do! :) I just had my 12 week appointment and was able to hear the heartbeat!
The official due date is October 4. I'll let Daniel have his own blog for a little longer, but then we'll have to change the name, add a ticker, and give you some pregnancy updates! One thing is for sure---the waistline seems to change a whole lot quicker the second time! Yikes!

Yeah - congratulations!! We are very happy for you guys! Having them close is a little difficult, but well worth it when you get to see them start playing together!! Good luck and if you need any advice, you know where to go! Missy Way

Happy belated Birthday to the both of you! I am sure you all had a blast. I can't believe you are due in Oct. DJ and I are going to try to make it up there in the fall and bring the lil' one. Hopefully, we'll get to see your new lil' one too!

By the way Abbie, I forgot to mention that October 4, 2005 was Gwen's due date. Of course she decided to be 8 days late! but I recall the 'alleged' due date well.
It's not perfect for your teaching schedule, but I liked cozy-ing up with a wee one for the winter :)
